For example, utilities bills form a much larger part of a low wage worker's outlay and have been rising strongly for many years while the low inflation/deflation of luxury cars not so much a benefit for the working poor.

We are being fed crap because it is to 'their' advantage and not ours. if it were vice versa then they would simply just have to fix it. A necessary reform of some urgency I would suggest.
