    We are all capitalists. But "that has a social safety net" is an aspect of socialism incorporated into a capitalist model. This isn't the age of Dickens' England. Its all at the end of your fingertips.

    If we lived in a true fully capitalist country ol' hingdog would probably be the master servant or an enterprising craftsman - an important role no doubt but a long way from the comfortable world you know.

    Pure capitalism by it very nature concentrates wealth just as a game of Monopoly will have shown you. Incidentally, Monopoly was first created as an instructional activity to show the inherent dangers of capitalism. And then it just became popular for its enjoyment.
