The US will NOT be bankrupt by China or any individual country.

The US will be bankrupt when countries around the world refuse to accept the USD as the reserve currency and stop pricing and settling raw materials, such as oil, in USD.

Until then, the US can continue to print as much as they like and "get away with it". Its the ONLY country (atm) on this planet who can print as much money as they like, without causing high inflation and high interest rates.

But that is totally different to the US being competitive.

The fact is, it hasn't been competitive for many decades.

Its only masked by the "money printing" economic growth (ie. using your limitless credit card).

That's one of the reasons why "Main Street" turned against those in Washington in 2016, by electing Trump, believing politicians in Washington are part of a huge conspiracy to control the poor working class.

The truth is, unless they make meaningful and painful changes, such as diverting their huge military expenditure into infrastructure, they will remain uncompetitive. No amount of BS from Donald Trump will change that.

And if they don't change, one of these days (10 or 20 years from now), the world will stop using the USD as the reserve currency and as a currency to settle on purchases of raw materials like Oil.

On that day, the USD will be worth as much as a ply of toilet paper.

And the US economy will crash into a banana republic.
