Wow Bill Shorten is leaving the coalition in his policy wake.
His presentation to the Bloomberg Forum on energy policy
and climate change is refreshing and innovative.
A Labor govt will subsidise the installation of battery storage
in homes and in apartment complexes etc in community
initiatives that will both reduce energy cost and reduce emissions.
Labor will also support pump hydro power generation and storage
something Malcolm Turnbull had been enthusiastic about and by
our own Poyndextor I might add.
Morrison is constrained by the muppet conservatives who deny
climate change exists. The Abbotts and a few others egged on by
vested interests in dirty technologies.
To accelerate things on energy The Opposition leader also committed
to a bi-partisan approach to introduce the National Energy Guarantee(NEG)
now that had had been agreed to by the Coalition Cabinet on a number of occasions
but scuttled seemingly because of threats from the conservative right MP.
Well done Mr Shorten putting policies out there while the Coalition acts more
like an Opposition and engage in just knocking and blocking.
