mechanical intervention clarification ...

Just fyi, Tweets and Co. had communication with PM over the weekend with regard to clarification of mechanical intervention, as some were speculating various theories on here.

I can confirm that Norwest elected to use swabbing cups (see definition provided below from Schlumberger).

There were also comments about Norwest running 24/7 shifts. The answer is they were ... right up until the time they started the swab cup process. However, as the swabbing process required going in and out of the well as it brings the liquid to surface the DMP generally will only approve daylight operations for this type of activity.

Norwest then had to apply for the approval to operate 24/7 again, and as usual the approval process took some time. Likewise, it took time to source the required tools etc to perform the operation. I understand that a lot of equipment in this operation is not "off the shelf" and needs to be sourced from different locations & contractors etc. But now they are operating 24/7 again.

The field team (managed by Darrell & Shelly) have been working very hard to use everything possible to manage this zone (ie; the Kockatea) & to recover the remaining fluids.

Also, a point of clarification is that Shelly, Darrell, and the Aztech/Norwest project team manage the frac operation, and not Halliburton.

There were at least 5 service contractors (including Halliburton) on site during the frac campaign performing various technical components of the operation. Also, as has been previously mentioned in past announcements, the Norwest team managed and co-ordinated all of those services 24/7 with a designated US frac specialist on site at all times in the frac control room directing & monitoring operations.

Anyways, at the end of the day it's the results that are important here ... and Peter has assured me that EVERYONE at Norwest is working extremely hard & doing everything possible to ensure this project is a roaring success.
