Polished the headlights.. by doing what??? breaking a sealed unit?may find if the bulbs are halogen units, someone re attached them leaving finger prints on the surface... result blown bulb... replace halogen bulbs with tissue paper...
If they had to dioxide the oxidized inside they should have used a industrial sealer... there aren't a replaceable seal on headlights?? as far as I'm aware.
