Chemist Warehouse is Australia’s 13th largest retailer by turnover, with sales of $2.7 billion and more than 10,000 staff. Chemist Warehouse has in excess of 260 stores (2014), representing about 4 per cent of all retail pharmacies across Australia. However, Chemist Warehouse sales make up 20 per cent of total retail pharmacy sales, dispensing around 15 per cent of medicines covered under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
