I often see Mr Swan on TV taking credit for how well Australia is doing. He even accepted an international award. We all know that this is due to the mining boom. Most other industries are just sucking in handouts.
The public sector is living on taxes from the mining boom.
The source of the demand for our minerals is the hard graft of the Chinese who fill Bunnings, Walmart and Carrefour with all the things we demand.
So our only contribution is top have the mines ready to take advantage of this windfall boom in our region. Who should we thank for this, who should get the credit?
Certainly not the current round of politicians. It takes at least a decade to get a mine into production. That we can take advantage of the China Boom today is thanks to the statesmen of at least ten years ago.
Those forgotten heroes had to fight the Greens and unions to get the mines up. Have you ever heard a Green support a mine development or a union support a mining company. Yet today these thieves are claiming credit.
Any thanks to Sir Charles Court for the Iron Ore industry, to Lang Hancock, to Sir Joe for the coal industry. No, the thieves lambasted them but now steal their credit.
Pathetic bludgers. Like the pasty back office war heroes who emerge to claim their medals once the battles have been won by the blood of others.
