It looks to me like a number of media sources are just quoting each other and bouncing the same story around and around. We seem to have seen a rehash of stories today without anything really new arising.
Mentions of the 15th Dec extension in Australian media seem to have all originated from the WSJ article which came out this morning. Has anyone seen a different source quoted as a 'source'?
A Dec 15th extension would be in line with the previous CEO comments and the "at least" from both the ann last week and Investor Services.
I have written again to the journo from the WSJ regarding the article and I will let you know if I get a response.
I give the WSJ a bit more credit that the Fairfax hacks at SMH, The Age and AFR but I still remain sceptical of anything that is essentially rumour.
