I agree we need a new board or a new CEO and to work out what is making this so slow - the inertia needs to be removed - it moves at a snails pace - and the decision making on clinical disease targets takes 1-2 years - it is crazy slow - the release of analyzed data takes equally as long - a university lab with a couple of motivated PhD students could see triple the action with as much attention to detail and min burning of cash. There is either a non-focused scientist driving the discussion or there is no band width in the scientific advisory board or they all disagree - so there is no filtering ideas to the board - or Bill is too cautious slow and can not make up his mind - I think possibly a combo - the board is too conservative and not thinking fast and sensible markets - the focus on AD is high risk - appointing biolink to look at deal making is a bit weak - why did they outsource this - they should have board connections internally. Also they should be doing more internally in terms of trials to drive to increase commercial value of the company. They also need a quick pathway to sales for something.
The markets they are missing - normative aging for improving memory - they have a patent application on this - small data but no prospective trial planned ! - improve cognition during stress - defence would leap at this Biological stress responses during surgery - every patient having surgery COVID-19 - post syndrome stress and anxiety and memory
The disease pipeline is looking shallow - for a company of this size they should be 4-5 targets underway.
The ethics process is far too slow.
The market news is a re-hashed slide presentation at another conference - I think that slide deck is worn out or full of holes from over use - a time for a new deck with a fresh look.
No news on university grant partners - this is disappointing
I remember they said 2 years ago lots of activity and market announcements pending. Not much has happened in the space.
