VMP I'm glad you've become a holder of WA8. You've shared your knowledge and experience, a lot of which comes from a different perspective than that of the average holder.
For anyone not aware, I'd suggest that you might have a listen to a recent 60 minutes interview with Victor Gao, credited with being a China expert, and a political mouthpiece for China. He is very adamant that China will resist trump's tariffs, and that China "holds cards." Specifically, he comments that critical minerals are an important card China holds.
The threats from trump regarding tariffs have come back into focus, as on Friday, after Asian markets closed, trump has "recommended" 50% tariffs on the EU. Gold reacted positively, rising U.S. $62 on Friday.
My personal opinion is that the euphoric reaction by markets to "delayed" tariffs was overdone. And there are No binding deals with England, China, or, apparently, anyone else for that matter. trump still behaves erratically and unpredictably. As long as this behaviour persists, which will be as long as he is in power, markets will be volatile, the future of trade relations between the U.S. and other countries will be clouded by uncertaintly and mistrust, and there will be more demand for safe haven assets. Therefore I expect the gold price to continue rising (for many other reasons as well).
And I don't expect China to be inclined to share their Antimony.
