But say the sentence was 5 years due to mitagating circcumstances like they came from a tough background, their mum didn't like them, they didn't get a good education, they were sorry, they were short cash(lol).
I personally know many people who would take that risk for a quick $50,000 cash(perhaps testament to my bad upbringing, hehe).
I'm sure the perp knew the consequences of his actions.
Personally I would find execution a blessing compared to life imprisonment.
An execution for drug smuggling does not affect me because I am not a drug smuggler.
If the punishments are lowered I would consider drug smuggling as an alternative to going out & getting a job(daytrader,lol).
