I think you have just about summed it up. Couldnt have said it better myself.

Forget the Reserves upgrade, forget the IE report. We are all living in false hope if we think the board is capable of increasing our share price. It just wont happen. This board has let us down time and time again. And I just cant see that changing. They are just looking after their own pockets (as all directors do!).

All we can rely on now is a counter bid.....a company that will see potential in this stock and that wont let it get sold at a bargain/discount to Santos.
