I am really surprised by the lack of media coverage in this.
Given the fact that there has been successful (in-house run/outside executed) animal testing conducted, the chairman is the former head of research from Johnson & Johnson Australia and founder of Chemeq Ltd (in their own words "achieved over a three-year period, the top capital gain of all companies listed on the ASX, and an average market capitalisation of approximately $500 million"), noted that he wasn't part of the company before things went pear shaped.
The rest of the team seems to bring a diverse mix to the table. I wouldn't mind if they had more technical pharma experience, but they seem qualified and experienced in their field.
Just surprised that I can barely seem to find anything about them on the internet, considering they are in IPO stage. Quite possibly they have the required amount of investors/funds, as they are raising $5m and $5m only. Will be interesting to see where this one goes once it's listed (if it does).
For years I have heard about the increased resistance of bacteria against currently available antibiotics and the complete and utter lack of research in the field for years. This seems (among some others) a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.
What do you guys think? May have missed the IPO, but I'll definitely keep my eye on this one.
