from my understanding of RNAi, the therapy in question today would be a gene silencing compound that would target the disease. the way i understand it, yes, it would eradicate it. but DON'T quote me on that, i aint no scientist, and i am guessing that the reseatch team are yet to find this out themselves. but that would be the intention.
