    Good on you Nervous.

I was reading a research report by JP Morgan over the weekend which talked about the likely impacts on groundwater due to the QLD projects.

The main crux of it is there are likely to some impacts but it's how the impacts are managed that will make the ultimate difference in terms of monitoring, remedial programs and forward planning for avoidance. It seems that well construction is the best anti-avoidence measure in terms of negating environmental impacts.

One of the interesting stats was farmers will be still be pulling more water out of the artesian basin than the comnpanies will be (although it may approach 50/50 with project maturity). So...CSG companies need to make sure they're good corporate citizens (the future of the industry depends on it). Farmers need to learn to share the resource and potentially better understand how they can make use of treated water for their own uses.

And the agenda driven greenies need to take a deep breath and try to get a better understanding of the Australian industry rather than pointing to the US and screaming hysterically against any development.

    Cheers.
