2mS is close to what everyone gets per year, pilots get a higher dose being higher up in the atmosphere hence more radiation from the sun.
in Australia, if you are classed as a radiation worker you can be exposed to an average of 20mS per year averaged over 5 years, with no one year higher than 50mS, and that is still a safe occupational level.
