Think about it for a minute, why would Australia take it back when is Malaysia who produced the waste ? Besides all soils are a biosecurity risk to Australia, forget about bags of soil and try importing a car with mud on the tyres and see what happens.
Anyway if Lynas built the storage facility as it was supposed to do in the first place the issue would be solved. The problem was your previous government who allowed Lynas to start operating and producing waste before they sorted out the waste storage issues.
