Some interesting details:
Chris Kelaher says the prudential regulator backed a plan from IOOF management to remediate super fund members for an error by using the fund’s own reserves.
Also some statements about commercial reality, and that it was uneconomic for the super fund to launch litigation - or something to that effect. I'm not sure of the merits of that argument.
Will be interesting to see if any of that floats. The regulator might end up copping it, and I am sure Kelaher would like that.
