On the back of an envelope it seems amazing that the market has devalued IOOF by about $1.5 billion for a $816 000 mistake that was fully remediated via insurance and IOOF. In context this is not much more than a rounding error. I understand that the market is concerned about what has not been revealed, underlying corporate culture and future scrutiny and regulation, but on face value their is a massive disconnect between demonstrable facts and the market’s assessment.
