Chemically, there is no difference between a lithium battery used for vehicles or BESS.
They'll use the 4680's for vehicles at least until they get their production ramped.
The 2nd off-take with Tesla is binding - Tesla has exercised it option to offtake an additional 17ktpa. Both parties need to workout the specifications of the AAM like what happened in the first 8ktpa off-take. The first 8kt size is 18nm. They my want 15 or 12nm size. The beauty in building Vidalia modulated. 1 module can produce 18nm, another 15 and another 12 etc
