Your reasoning is nonsensical. Why would anybody sell if there is "so much upside. It's like a loaded gun ready to fire!"
Talk of a takeover is idiotic. Aus Super who own 30% aren't going to sell and cop hundreds of millions of dollars in losses. Whoever is loaning the shares to be shorted aren't doing it just so they can sell into a takeover at a much lower price and lose 10's of millions of dollars. They believe in the long term and don't give a rats about what the short term SP is.
