Europe is a big market. Europe is also very conscious of how something is made. It won't take Europe long to pass some restriction on a product made from a process detrimental to the environment. Given China is still building coal powered electrical Power Stations, sun or solar power in China is a long way off. As a consequence natural graphite will have a long life.
The current market is currently under Chinese control and they are doing every thing they can to disrupt this graphite market to try to disrupt the US and at the same time SYR having a good clean run at building natural graphite anodes
