Stage 1 is what is happening now. Once the company is able to clear the third and final step, which is a statutory appeals process, then offtakes & FID can occur, allowing for construction at both the mine and the refinery to commence. The high grade allows for a tiny open-pit mine with mineralisation at extremely shallow depths. Up until recently the company was aiming for commencement of production by late 2024. Appeals have pushed this out somewhat, but it certainly will not take 6 years to get up and running. Stage 1 will produce 19,500 tons of anode with a projected EBITDA of $260m AUD annually. This would be for the Vittangi Project alone. The company also has other projects such as silicon anode that's in advanced stages too.
