Head scratching sp action lately - especially given the announcements due over the next month. EV and battery manufacturers need to pull the trigger now to support their planned capacity by 2025/26.
Based on information provided in the Vidalia FID planning, ordering and construction for the 11ktpa plant will take 18 months, followed by another 18 months to ramp up to full production.
Assuming the same trajectory for expansion to 45ktpa then there is not much time left to lock in AAM offtakes and agreements to ensure SYR supply for 2025/26. Be a shame for them to spend billions on battery plants and have them idle due to lack of key inputs.
