Actually I might have been a little harsh on Kerry. The article in Market Index posted by Bigdeano, may only have part of the article. The Market Deficit Forecast chart is Fig 2, while the natural graphite prices table is Fig 7. Fig 1, 3, 4, 5 & 6 are missing. Both Fig 2 and Fig 7 refer to natural graphite
Therefore when he said "Industrial-related industries such as lubricants, shielding and fire retardants account for approximately 70% of global graphite demand in 2022, according to Macquarie. However, demand from the EV market is growing rapidly and forecast to take up more than 60% of graphite demand by the end of 2030." - he could be referring to natural and synthetic which would make more sense.
I did say it can be confusing.
