Re, Canberra's made sure they got a Rolls Royce water supply despite loony-toon proposals over a decade ago to desal seawater on the NSW coast and pipe it uphill to Canberra. Idea driven by then Chief Minister Stanhope.
And !! I also remember the ACT-Green-Slime-Warmie-Party wanted recycle the Brown and Yellow stuff and then pump it in to the Old Cotter Dam !!
If that would have gone ahead ... We would have sold up ... and moved to Goulburn.
