I disagree with your (what i guess is) guesswork regarding what ABC is 'allowed' to say.

To use Kohler again as an example, he occasionally engages in commentary about particular stocks going up or down - that is not in any way 'financial advice' it is simply reportage.

My point was :- his 'reporting' generally either sticks to big names or spectacular flops or juxtapositioning his favourite charts of the day.

There is nothing to stop him saying, for example 'Australian biotech IMU had a great day following an announcement of favourable ongoing cancer trials ...' and flashing up a graphic showing a 26.92% jump. That's not 'financial advice', it's simply stating facts.

But i don't hold my breath for any mention of this tonight.

Neither do i worry at all about this stuff, i've known about and held IMU for several years, i just wish more ABC-watching Australians knew about it.
