If it helps, anyone who invests in Biotechs has to be a bit crazy

Agree entirely that the "message isn’t cutting through to those Mum and Dad investors". Maybe not entirely down to IMU but certainly part of the problem. I suspect biotechs (as you indicated) are too hard for most people to get their head around. With mining, the phase one (assaying resources), phase 2 (dig a hole) and phase 3 (process and flog off what comes out of the hole) is a fairly simple concept for most people to grasp.
