I may have to agree with you there! I (Sydneysider) was there on Australia Day, and despite having gone to Adelaide several times before, was struck at just how beautiful it was. The wide, tree lined streets with well-kept heritage houses, and everything looked so nice and clean. I spent some time up in Hahndorf which, despite the Aus Day crowds, was magnificent!
With the excellent wine regions, and the fact you have no toll roads, as the icing on the cake, I may have to rethink my retirement locale!!
