By doing a deal earlier IMU will be more amenable to license terms and the company they do business with is likely to make milestone payments. Getting exclusivity for a BP at this stage makes sense with the indicative results to date. So payments are made for relevant milestones being achieved and IMU can be carried through further trial costs which makes sense. Being a supporter of licensing across the portfolio of medications and with different enterprises for different activities it leaves IMU in control which I believe it wants to do.
