"The shares Hopper Transferred to his children recently..If they are eligible for the 50 percent tax break when held for one year or more...does that time frame reset and start from the date of the exchange because if so...pretty sure nothing is too drastic will happen with imu s MC in that period" Why would they want to sell immediately if the shareprice suddenly shot up on news? The 50% tax break is only for when they sell. If the product is that good they would hold onto them surely, so the SP could shoot up tomorrow and its not like they have to pay more tax as they haven't sold the shares.
