It’s our Market Cap that’s raising eyebrows, unusual for an Australian Biotech, but there is nothing ‘usual’ about the pipeline/IP Imugene have in their stable now, or prior to the CF33/CD19 deal with B cell targeted Immunotherapy.
What is raising my eyebrows is that the AFR journalist failed to mention the reason for the City of Hope deal for CF33 & now CD19. Which is the direct catalyst for the massive increase in our MC recently (not to mention other upcoming catalysts with 2 other therapies in the clinic at the moment). The CF33 deal went through ages ago.
It kind of makes it look like the BOD are lining their own pockets, at the expense of the company, but I don’t believe that to be the case. The SH aren’t suffering. We did a couple of years ago with a massive $20 million Cap raise, to acquire CF-33 & fund trials to the current time, we are still very well cashed up. But who’s complaining now? CW may convert oppies, I don’t know.
The foresight from PH, LC & the team have been outstanding, or this IP would be in the hands of Big Pharma now. But IMU have it.
Paul Hopper has an outstanding nouse for identifying potential game changers in the Immuno-Oncology space & a great supporter of early stage breakthrough research & bringing that to commercialisation. He’s an astute Biotech Entrepreneur. Yuman Fong 100% deserves shares, it is his life’s work & with the backing of IMU, get this into the clinic ASAP, not sitting on a Lab Bench.
PH doesn’t live that far away from me in the Southern Highlands NSW. If I see him in my travels, I will definitely offer to buy him a coffee or a beer, to say thank you. An interesting story.
