I can confirm the PBS is very tightly regulated. If a drug is not listed for a particular indication then the PBS won’t pay for it. So, it is a significant consideration for patients to go off label when they need to pay full price for a drug. I was told some patients won’t if it means leaving their significant other with a sizable debt.
