The following jpg’s are from a really interesting article in today’s Fin. It follows on from PH’s interview with Mark Bouris today.  PH talks about a Nuclear Winter for Biotechs.  The big seven tech stocks in the US have sucked in a huge amount of capital during their bull run.

As Ive previously posted money will flow back in at some stage to small caps and biotech. It’s a cyclical thing.  It’s well worth grabbing today’s Fin to read the full article.

But the Fund manager states they expect we are in the early stage of a multi year rally for small caps. Whilst his fund has really struggled the last 2 years (see IMU) they expect to reap big rewards over the next couple of years .

This should more than make up for 2 bad years. They’ve bought some significant positions at fire sale prices( see IMU).

Aa with all investments timing does matter.  IMU has a lot of newsflow coming this year. Let’s all hope the timing syncs with a strong small cap rally.

Also of interest is the changes to superannuation rules.  The govt removing an essential financial support for our future companies. The companies of tomorrow starved for capital . Whilst Albo and Chris Bowen are deploying taxpayers capital on their picks in the Future Fund. All of us who trawl around the small caps know just how hard it is to pick tomorrow’s winners.
