They never stated that, but what they clearly stated was what phase one trial is all about. SAFETY! Remember the safety was an unknown as to whether it would infect other non cancerous cells? We certainly are quick to forget what the unknown was. Hey it might not kill cancer as well as they suspected but anything is better than chemo if it's safe !
