Interesting Article here Published in Nature Nov 2024, it details the process and challenges using Oncolytic Viruses to target solid tumors and the relationship with T cells. It explains the delicate balance needed to have enough virus to kill cancer cells and activate the immune cells without the later killing the virus before it does it's job.
The authors use a spatio-temporal model to help show how to enhance the process.
It is something I believe IMU is trying to overcome with different doses, different delivery methods and timing, not sure if they are aware of these findings.
