Based on your example of $10b annual revenue, let's say company operating cost is $3bn, thereby giving gross profit of $7bn. Say company retains $2bn for research and other operations, we get $5bn. With say 5bn shares on issue, the dividend would come to $1/share unfranked.
The above is just a simplified speculation. But I think more importantly for shareholders, if IMU have a gross profit of $7bn, then being a growth stock at PE of 40 like CSL, we get a market cap of $280bn. That divide by around 5bn SOI gives us a share price of $56/share. If that should come to pass, I dare say most HC long term shareholders here will be smoking and drinking whatever they fancy![]()
