Mentioned the recent trial results to a friend who runs clinical trials for a large hospital network in Melbs. He said the decision by an independent advisory committee to reduce study participants in order to hasten a trial is unprecedented. Doesn't happen very often. Last time I can remember was for an anticoagulant trial.
I'm involved in the pre- and postop care of such patients - I'm certainly very excited to see this hit the market and provide substantial clinical outcomes for these patients
