Highly doubt that will ever happen.. Nothing wrong with shorting stocks in my humble opinion.... Novice investors only ever make money when the market goes up.... Many expert investors make even more money when the market or stock goes down..... Rene Rivkin used to say 'the bulls have to climb up the stairs, the bears jump out the window's... Often stocks fall 3 to 5 times faster than they rise so it's good to have strategies and the ability to be able to make money in a downward market as well as a rising market....

Shorting is high risk.... There are hundreds of other strategies using call and put options
