Today's news that Merck is paying USD$2.75 Billion IN CASH to acquire VelosBio is huge news.
To put it in an IMU context: USD$2.75 Billion is equivalent to AUD$3.8 Billion ... which would value IMU at AUD$0.86c per share.
Yet another real world M&A example that I have no doubt Paul Hopper & Leslie have noted, and which will form the basis of any future negotiations (next year?) for Big Pharma to eventually acquire Imugene and its extensive pipeline of Immuno-Oncology vaccines.
