Then again there are family doctors who are so very busy with running a clinic they own, which might include para medical people, dentists etc, that they appear to be business men first and GP's second, with little time to keep up with medical developments. These are generally the family doctors who, for example, don't thoroughly investigate unexplained bad backs or maybe unexplained abdominal issues and suggest taking everyday pain killers for the pain. Medical specialists and The World Wide Web clearly point out that these and similar issues can indicate serious cancers. Many cancers are missed by the family doctor and ultimately diagnosed by a specialist with valuable time wasted.
I dont wish to be insulting and the family doctor can be an absolute blessing for most people, however like everything in life, the situation is not perfect ............ and cancers are such a horrible thing.
