You will likely find that the funds who track the indices are obliged to buy, but not obliged to sell. I don't expect any major dumping if they went drop out.

SBM dropped out on 19/12/2022. It rallied into the announcement and continued for a little while after. Volume spiked for rebalance, but as is usually the case, volume goes through at market price, as per below chart:



In the 19/09/2022 rebalance, 360 dropped. Price stayed within the range, volume negligible.


CCX 19/09/2022 - small rally leading up to then continued the trend. Volume negligible.


CUV 19/09/2022 - price dipped on announcement after rallying into it, however trend was maintained. Volume spiked but didn't have any material affect.


Im sure that the others will reflect a similar story. If IMU drops out, I don't expect it to have any major impact on the share price one way or another. Perhaps the best outcome we can hope for is less manipulation. Either way, it does not change the final outcome for those who hold to the end game and ignore all the puss oozing from this forum. The reward awaits the patient.
