"The logic in your 4th paragraph is a shocker"

It's obviously a bit crude, but thanks.

I've got a friend who lives in Sydney who spent years doing evening courses on share trading, stock market investing etc.

He once asked me which valuation model I use. I said that I don't use one, and I told him how I value a stock.

He got most animated and said something like " no, no, no, that's completely wrong. You must do it properly ".

I pointed out to him that I had been successfully investing on the asx for decades, and had retired at 37. But he said I had been lucky.

A few years later I asked him how the asx investing was going and he said it's a mugs game, and he wasn't doing it anymore. He advised me to stop too.

As they say in the UK house of parliament "I refer the honorable gentleman to the answer I gave some moments ago"

I'm happy doing it wrong. It works well for me.
