If our vaccine is as incredibly effective as we all think, then it represents an existential threat to every pharmaceutical company currently providing treatments for solid tumours. Comparatively speaking, all the current first line choice of oncology drugs will enter an obsolescence death spiral as Vaxinia become more widely available, rendering them virtually worthless. If anyone thinks that the relevant big pharmas are going to sit back and allow that to happen they've got rocks in their head. I personally think that moves to acquire us/technology have been in motion for some time now and I wouldn't be surprised for a mega offer/s to be made before the end of the calendar year, if not sooner. Pure speculation on my part of course, but when you sit back and analyse the issue its difficult to come to any other conclusion. After all, which pharmaceuticals company board would look forward to facing their shareholders at an AGM and admit the didn't do their absolute best to protect their existing profits?
