A bit late on this but I got around to listening to the bulls and bears interview Leslie did recently. One thing that struck me was her repeated use of the word "cure". Given that in the past she/YF have said that they tend to shy from using that word and instead use terms more like "response" and "reduction" in tumours, I can only think of 3 reasons for her to be doing this now:
1. What they have seen from the current cf33 trials has her convinced that she can begin using much more certainty in her language now about the future of treatment results for patients.
2. She is doing it in response to many requests for her to use less scientific jargon and more everyday language in her explanations.
3. She is using it to attract attention and increase interest in IMU after the recent negative sentiment around the CR.
If it is the second, it would be pretty irresponsible to be throwing that word around like she did in that interview imo. The language she previous used in relation to the effects of treatments on patients was not that inaccessible for most and I wouldn't have thought it would be what she would change in her speaking.
If it's number 3, that would be pretty disappointing and would come off as a bit of a desperate attempt to get people excited.
I will remain cautiously hopeful that the reason is something closer to number 1
