My feeling on this is that Kangankunde should have an amount of resource (which we do), at such a low operating cost (to be confirmed), and have capacity for such scalability to meet future demands (stages 1-3, + expansion where reqd.)
If Lindian can do this and be like a Fortescue of REE then it becomes a question to other Ree developers and explorers of what's the point. If we can operate for 100+ years at such a low Capex that can't be matched, why spend billions on other mine developments per development. Just like what's happened to so many companies within Lithium right now that were a little more expensive to operate, they have ceased operations, companies that had binding agreements to major manufacturers and we're producing are priced out and other alternative methods like DLE are catching on that are cost efficient and have great esg ratings.
