LIN is not a producer yet, and it's listed, so the SP goes up a ton (like it did and I had a good ride) and then it can go down a lot, like it did and it's doing now. Private Companies don't have the ups and downs of the market, as you know, so no reasons to mention them or compare them with a public company.
There are so, so so many exploration companies, even in pre development or production stage out there atm (not just on the ASX) that are 50-60-70-80% down from their peak, and guess what....if you read through HC you'll find that all of those SH that are posting, are blaming the Chairman or the CEO or the CFO or the BOD or,....you name it. Sometimes they do that to justify the fact they didn't sell when the stock was hot and they are now underwater. Not saying that is the case for everyone here...just stating the facts.
