Is there evidence of a small shift in momentum towards MABR technology in Guizhou province China? Local city governments, like our local province partner Jinzi, may be beginning to recognise the advantages of Aspiral/MABR for the treatment of wastewater; possibly as a result of the eight Aspiral smart packaged MABR technology solution projects Jinzi has already secured and successfully commissioned since last November in the province?

The following tender notice was lodged at the end of September by Zhenfeng County Water Resources Development and Investment Company. The total investment of the project is about 9.1223 million yuan (-AUD$1.84m). Tender closes 22 October. Construction content includes a MABR biorector as a main treatment structure:



I'm unsure of the total number of wastewater treatment plant tender notices lodged over the past year in Guizhou; so it is difficult to accurately gauge the percentage of MABR win rates over this time and/or measure acceleration of uptake of the technology. However, it would seem logical that the appearance of government tender documents requiring the inclusion of MABR technology will lead to much faster market acceptance and penetration rates.
