One could surmise that the price RWL paid (0.85) was determined months ago as part of a strategic business plan and that the EMC price is being keep at a reasonable level until the merger is complete.
That or new buyers are simply waiting for the merger to complete to ensure there's no surprises in the new FY. There may also be a little downward pressure from people locking in tax losses if they brought in Oct-Nov last year.
Any way you see it come August onward things should heat up significantly.
